Pastor Charles Parnell
Pastor Charles Parnell is a native of Albany, Texas, where he grew up influenced by small town, rural life. He attended Concordia College in Austin, and received an Associate of Arts degree. He journeyed to Seguin, Texas and Texas Lutheran University. At TLU, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. Carol and he met at TLU, and were married a week after graduation in 1976. They have a son, Aaron, who lives in Lubbock with his wife Prairie. Pastor Charles attended Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio; he received a Master of Divinity. Pastor Charles has served at Salem Lutheran Church since August of 2005. His previous parishes were Zion Lutheran Church in McGregor, Texas, and St. Mark Lutheran Church in Bridge City, Texas. Pastor Parnell enjoys playing golf and riding a 2003 Heritage Softail.

Glenda Pieper
Administrative Assistant
Glenda Pieper was born and raised in the small community of White Hall, located six miles south of Navasota, Texas. After graduating from Navasota High School in 1967, she married Lynn Pieper on December 3, 1967. In December 1968, they moved back to Brenham after Lynn's discharge from the U.S. Air Force. They have been blessed with two daughters - Lisa who lives in Bryan with her husband, Terry and Vicki who lives in Houston with her husband, Patrick. Their pride and joy are four granddaughters - Rachel, Kristin, Samantha, and Erin.
Glenda has been employed at Salem since August of 1978. She enjoys reading, camping and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She feels truly blessed to be a part of Salem's Family of Faith and working with the present and past pastors, staff and members of Salem Lutheran Church.
